Moment of Zen is an alternative rock band from New Jersey. The band members are Reed Adler, Eric Goldberg, Dan Goldber, Skylar Adler and Mike Distasi. Moment of Zen knows no boundaries. Their music is a continuing experimentation of all forms of rock rather. They are able to break free from the generic alternative sound. The band is mainly composed of two sets of brothers Eric and Dan Goldberg, Reed and Skylar Adler, as well as the band’s bass player Mike Distasi. Their live shows are described as a whole new taste of refreshing rock and roll. These guys really loves what they do. They released their first independent album, Tall Tales of Tiny Giants last July. The album is a true taste of the band as they all recorded this on their self madestudio.

May Fire is one band of particular interest in the Bay Area music scene. The group was formed in Los Angeles before going to the North a few years back. And they have recently released their EP which is called, The List. It is the third part of an interesting musical concept released in a span of two years. The first was Right and Wrong CD in 2006. Lead singer and guitarist Catty Tasso acts as the musical focus of the band, it seems. But when you get to listen to them for a few more times. You’ll realize that the band members play the same role as with Tasso. The divergent background of the members of The MayFire infuses the edginess subtle in their music. The EP as it is, serves, but does not overdo it. It is a great album. Every track has something for you to remember. The MayFire consist of Catty Tasso, vocals and guitars, El Pipe on drums, Rob Gwin on bass/piano and Miguel Insignares as second guitars.,
