Tapes ‘N Tapes

This indie rock/neo-psychedelia/experimental rock band started at Carleton College, winter of 2003. They have already released three albums: Tapes ‘n Tapes (2004), The Loon (2005-2006) and Walk It Off (2008). The group has four members: Josh Grier (Tapes 1), Jeremy Hanson (Tapes 2) Matt Kretzman (‘n) and Erik Appelwick (‘n). They also had former members Shawn Neary (on bass; 2003-2006) and Karl Schweitz (on drums; 2003-2005). Tapes ‘n Tapes became well-known quickly after a succession of write-ups on music blogs. Because of this, they became one of the most identifiable models of the “blog band” trend. The indie band were popular for their works like The Futureheads, The Streets, Metric, Calvin Johnson and I Am the World Trade Center.
